On Thursday 14 July 2022, the first pile was officially driven for Wijngaarden VeiligGoed's new premises. Patrick Verheij and his two sons Bram & Marijn had the honour of pushing the buttons of the piling installation. A special milestone!
VeiligGoed has been located at the Trapezium in Sliedrecht since 2000. Recently, a number of large new customers have joined, making extra space desirable. After investigation, it was decided to expand at the current location. In addition, a sustainability drive will be carried out immediately. Besides a heat pump, which has been in use since 2000, solar panels will be installed on the roof of the new hall. The aim is to have the new hall ready by December 2022.
Wijngaarden VeiligGoed now has 40 employees and, as a family business, has been a well-known name for dredging companies for more than 50 years. In the Alblasserwaard, where many well-known dredging companies come from, they have become indispensable. The customers have remained and grown, but the focus has broadened: VeiligGoed is now active in various industries all over the world, because safe and comfortable industrial clothing and personal protective equipment are desperately needed everywhere!
